So from what I can tell from all indications out there among the interwebs regarding Wildstar, it seems that the hype train is about to start ramping up rather quickly heading toward launch. Now in keeping up with the state of the game I have also been paying attention to the other major gaming communities out there and watching all of the usual podcasts.
Among the more notable ones including Subterfuge Vanguard, Team Legacy, Guild Umbra, MOG Nation, Grievance they seem to be really generating a lot of buzz about Wildstar and are at the forefront of recruitment and getting this game known out there in social media.
So then I can't help but ask myself where is Alttabme? Back when I first heard of Wildstar, Alttabme was among the most active communities out there talking about Wildstar, and seemed to be getting hyped and excited about the game. I understand the news of Spring 2014 launch sort of bridled a lot of peoples own hype, myself included, but now a lot of communities out there seem to be all about Wildstar again.
The next few weeks promise to deliver huge and exciting news according to Carbine's own David Bass so do we have plans to get in on the hype to drive recruitment and community excitement for the game? I guess what I'm asking is what are our plans concerning Wildstar as we approach launch? I haven't heard a lot from leadership and would like to better understand where we're at.
Coming up rather quickly we should see the final 2 class reveals, which I think must happen before the next and final round of beta which Carbine wanted to relaunch in October. Then we will have guild raiding in beta, followed by a big emphasis on Warplots around the end of the year. Shortly after I'm sure we will be finding out news of open beta and such by Feb next year. It's right around the corner so I can't help but think we are about to be absolutely bombarded with major Wildstar news on an almost weekly basis starting here pretty soon.
I'm still excited about the game and it will be the major focus of my gaming time if not the only game I play depending on how good it really is and how much it can suck me in to the world of Nexus. So who's with me? Who's still excited about Wildstar? I'm just wondering how people out there in Alttabme are still holding up since release was pushed back.
This is by no means a criticism of anyone so I hope it doesn't come across this way. I proof read several times hoping it sounded ok and not like a complaining or whining type of post. It really is just me asking where we're at and who's still excited and what are your individual plans for Wildstar and then from leadership what are our plans as a whole approaching launch.
Thanks for reading, Rick
