What's new

GW2 Y U NO START EARLIER?

I'm glad work has me so occupied, but super glad that I still don't have to work weekends. So WORK WORK WORK GW2 WORK WORK GW2 GW2 then GW2 AT WORK

I have a lot to do this week which works great because it keeps my mind off of counting the minutes lol. Like others have said I am excited to do things that count, and not have to worry about a time limit *ponysmile: I also can't wait to do some gathering and crafting, I didn't do it at all in the beta or stress tests.

I've basically been going nuts trying to keep myself busy but I keep thinking about GW2. :(
Totaly... I've been playing all other kinds of games and trying to come less to the site for the time being so that I don't think about it. The anxiety it's overwhelming lolol.

I honestly can't believe we're in the final week before launch already! Thank god I've been ridiculously busy at work, it seems to have really passed the time.

That said, with less than 5 days until release, I'm starting to feel like a kid before Christmas.

Indeed, I'm hoping to spend most of the day outside today so I don't whine while staring at my screen. XD

Breathe the fresh air while you can! Cuz when the game is out, we all gonna be locked in our rooms for undefined periods of time. xD

Arenanet is either tempting us like a kitten with string or has a really good marketing dept with the beta's and stress tests right up to the launch! Just enough to tease and make us want more, and so close to boot.

AN's take on beta is unusual. Most of the betas I have seen is that it runs all the time once you get invited. With this on again off again approach they are really keeping our interest at a high level so they will be getting tons of people actually playing when it starts instead of people who are already burnt out somewhat before the game even goes live.

Its a strong psychological tactic and I think a great long term strategy for word of mouth and viral marketing which is the strongest business model right now. The people who are into it and the people who make a living off reporting and critiquing video games will rave and convince the fence sitters to come and try it out. It doesn't hurt that they are putting out a quality game with a clear focus that they can market. (working together to have fun instead of against one another).

Having said that, I probably wont be trying very hard to get on tomorrow since I just want to play my main and have it count. I can wait 4 days, 2 hours and 21 minutes till its time to start pushing the play button.

My tactic in the stress tests has always been to learn to do one profession really well, so the skills learned prior to release would be the benefit of playing, rather than levels or loot. So I'm always happy to play in stress tests. It's just another chance to optimise my skills and builds for release.

Yeah, I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago, strangely enough.. they really "played" us pretty hard with the whole limited beta thing. I can't fault them for it though, since they have an amazing game that backs up the hype but damn... They definitely kept us coming back for more.

I will also be logging on tomorrow only "if I can," and if I get home from work too late, so be it. I would like to try out the thief a bit more though. >_>
