Wrap Up The Resistance (beta 1.28) - Debriefing

An interesting twist would be to not allow ANY PMs. It would make spy communication much harder and restore the need to "read" each other- without body language! That my tip the scales back in the Resistance's favor.

Now that would be cool, but you'd have to go on the honor system unless Tristan turns off PMs during the gaming period for the players? I don't know... I use PMs a lot outside of the forum games, so that might be inconvenient... but I definitely like the idea of less convenient collaboration behind the scenes for spies. Maybe just know who your cohort in crime is at the start and go from there?[DOUBLEPOST=1362710154,1362710109][/DOUBLEPOST]I think I'm gonna make a MOOD titled 'not a spy', lol.

It would be honor system. I actually trust this community to be able to pull that off. I think that's kind of unique to this site.

I think what is needed is take away the assassination option for the spies and extend the game to 4 out of 7 for 5 people. That gives the resistance more of a chance to get 2 man missions and to recover from any mistakes. As it is now, the spies only need one mistake and they can run away with it.

I don't know. Without the assassination rule, won't everyone just yell that they are the IS right away? I think it would cause less creativity in strategies and just be a rush to see who can scream it the most convincingly. The assassination rule mandated discretion, which can be ignored as we saw last game, but very risky.

I thought the game was awesome.

To be honest, I identified Xi as 1 spy almost immediately, but Kel really threw me off as we we're scheming almost the entire time. I think this was basically my fault though as I didn't understand a few rules to start with (I didn't realize the spies we're told who each other were off the bat). Either way, this is definitely a game that you need to really experience once before you can really get into it, I think. As for feedback, here we go :)

I think the game is a little skewed towards a Spy victory - but ONLY at this level of players. I think if we had more, it would be a more even playing field. Now again, this opinion is based on my 1st play through. When/if I go again, I doubt I'll have this problem.

Either way, fantastic game. Kel, you were devious as fuck, but played it perfectly.

Baldo/Kis, I really should have reached out to you sooner (aka, at all) lol. /apologize

Trust me Drac... I've played this game a lot offline, and I still find it confusing. LOL But good feedback and so glad you had fun! Hopefully we can talk about Canada more next round. :)
