Hey everyone. My name is Chris and I'm a gamer (20+ years) and more recently a new dad (13 days). AMA.

I'll be on at various times over the next few days to get to all of your questions. I expect some good ones!
 
How old are you aiming for with that haircut? Because really, being in your 30's with spiked hair...

Hair for me is a sore spot. Up until high school I had the worst comb-over known to man. I went with spiked hair to change things up a bit and it worked for me then. I've been doing it ever since. It can get pretty long because I'm super lazy when it comes to hair cuts. It's much better when it's shorter but then my wife hates it. It's all a balancing act.

I've found the first 2 weeks to be very difficult to time manage family and anything else. The baby eats every 2 hours so my wife is pretty much completely tied up with that. That leaves me with cleaning, cooking, laundry, errands, etc. I have been prioritizing those things to make both of our lives easier right now. As the baby eats less and sleeps more through the night things will change. Right now this question is difficult to answer because of the limited amount of time I've had. Ask me again in a month or two and I'm sure I'll be settled to a better schedule.

That being said, I've been able to find some down time while my wife is feeding to jump into a game of Hearthstone or Diablo. Something that I can easily pick up and play for short periods of time and pause/walk away from if needed. Hearthstone on mobile has been a godsend as well. Something I can do while giving the baby a bottle or trying to rock her to sleep. Games like Smite or WoW are more difficult because of the time required to invest in a single sitting. I can't jump into a random Smite match or a WoW dungeon because who knows when I'll need to help change a diaper or grab my wife something.

She is amazing and I fall in love with her more each and every day. All she does right now is sleep, eat boobs, and poops. It still amazes me that I created this little thing and she is dependent on me to survive, grow, and learn.

I couldn't believe it came out on mobile the same day. I was downloading the app in the hospital. Didn't run that well on hospital internet though.

I'm sure they would be caught and trained as animals. Most likely scientifically researched. I would hope we could train them to build underwater cities that people could live in Bioshock style. As for eating them, only the bottom half.[DOUBLEPOST=1430251405,1430251176][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm a system engineer. I help design and build computer systems for payroll applications. I really enjoy what I do because it is challenging and it has me learning different technologies every year. It also provides me the opportunity to work from home full time. It's something I've always wanted so I can be around to watch my kids grow. I'm learning it's not always about the work you do but the people you work with and the benefits the company offers that make a job enjoyable.

I have two jobs which I hope to experience in my lifetime. The first would be something in computer forensics. When I was younger I dreamed of being in the FBI and when I got into computers it evolved into computer security. I ended up taking the entrance exam but never went any farther with it. My other dream combines computers and gaming. I'd love to be a system administrator for a large scale MMO. I'm fascinated by the technology behind running a gaming code/worlds. I think if I could find the right working situation that I would be completely happy doing something like that.

My highest leveled class is Mage because they were so OP in arena in the eary beta days. I'm currently playing warrior up the ladder because I love the synergy the cards have with each other.

Book: I don't enjoy individual books as much as I do series. I loved the Harry Potter series and am a big Dan Brown (DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, Lost Symbol) fan. My favorite book series though would have to be Animorphs. I read the shit out of that growing up as a kid and it really got me into reading.

Movie: Mallrats. Pretty much anything Kevin Smith related (aside from Jersey Girl - even he admits it was horrible).

Video Game: Dark Souls - Favorite game because of the difficulty and variety of playstyles that are made available. I can play the game over and over and do things differently each time.

Candy: Original M&Ms

Day of the Week: Sunday - I find myself so busy on Saturdays with things that I needed to get done during the week that I never really get to rest and relax until Sunday.
