To me, Final Fantasy X had the best STORY of the entire series. I am very pleased to say that it is confirmed for U.S. They are having an announcement trailer on the 25th. They are doing X-2 as well but i'm not as thrilled as i am with X. It is a good bonus to have it. There are swirls of rumors saying that it will be a bundled package but we won't really know until they announce it. I know i probably won't touch X-2 unless its bundled.

This is great news.

All indications in the announcement show that the name of the game is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.
The link on the official page to the Amazon preorder has it listed as both games together for 39.99 right now.

Don't know why I'm excited about this since both those games are setting on my bookshelf right now and I've never been one to care about graphics. I wonder if there will be PS3 trophies to get...

Nice, and it looks like it will be available December 31? from what Amazon is showing.

I've got them both on the shelf as well, went back about 2 months ago and beat X again and finished My Al Bhed database. I'm surprised that they are going for only $39.99. I was expecting them to be packaged together for $59.99 since you are getting them both. But either way bonus.

Amazon lists the release dates as Dec 31 when they don't actually know the real release date.

And as for that scene... it's so painful, it's required!
 
A playthrough of FFX is not complete without at least one muted cutscene and one I'll just watch some TV cutscene.
That said I can't really say I care about this. It's surpising seeing square actually releasing something in the US for once...but I've really had my fill of FFX. I don't like it that much, even if it was the first game I ever poured over 200 hours into.

Same thing with X-2...I 100%'d it once. Good enough for me.
