Need advice on a mouse!

Im just gonna go on and say this but I am in complete awe of what people consider "on a budget"..... Some of these damn mice are running upwards of $50 pluss...... *shakes head*

Budget just means you have an estimate of what you want to spend. When I worked 60 hour weeks my budget was much different than currently -brucecry-

Just found that one. It doesn't have the high DPI capabilities of some of the more expensive units, but it has a nice ergonomic design with pinky rest and two side buttons. I don't have experience with it, but the mouse has generally positive reviews and at just over $21, it's much more budget friendly.

well I got the Roccat Knova+ (at first) after getting it home and being all excited.... I realized the right hand buttons were basically useless... I couldn't access them with my pinky..... So after doing a little bit of searching I found a great deal on the Naga Molten special addition mouse for only $68..... Returned the mouse I bought and got this new one.... I really like it the only down side is the buttons get a little hot after a while.... Other than that YAY for the new mouse and thank you for all your suggestions.

It getting really hot is a feature. That's why it's called the "Molten." (I'm totally joking by the way. Although with the crazy features that keep getting added to mice, it probably won't be too long before temperature control is an actual feature).

Sounds like a good mouse. I'm going to get a new one pretty soon. For awhile I was going to get the Logitech G300, because it's price:feature ratio was really good. However, I saw it physically in a local computer store and it turned out to be a bit small (for my big hands at least). After more research I've settled on the Cooler Master Storm Sentinel Advance II (*phew* I feel winded just typing that). It's a bit more expensive, but is really feature rich. Plus it fits my hand.

Anyone know if there a decent one for a lefty? Ive seen some that say they are but it still looks like its for a . Don't really want a universal one.

DId anyone end up ordering the g700 and can show it attest to it? I have the deathadder right now. I like the 4 buttons on the side idea vs 9999 buttons like a naga

I think I'm going to just get one, can't seem to find one to test anywhere. If it sucks, I'll return it.

I tried the g700 in the store and the buttons were small for my hands, but I have largeish hands for normal mice. my cyborg rat is adjusted way out.

I might do that too Amazon has a good return policy I think.
Yeah they do for sure, and honestly it'd probably still be a decent mouse for work, etc., so I'd likely just keep it. I'm tempted to buy it from Best Buy today since I have $25 in rewards coupons anyway. Will let you know if I do, and what I think of it.

I currently use the Deathadder and tbh I don't like the make or quality of it. If the scroll wheel on my old mouse (Logitech G5) didn't jam on me -my fault though, I dropped it- I would have never switched. The optical laser jitters which is my #1 complaint about the mouse and is especially noticeable on a white surface making a mousepad mandatory. Plus it feels really light and cheap. Comfort wise it fits my head well though but the quality of the mouse isn't great. Definitely a discount buy only. The Naga also frequently goes on sale so I recommend waiting for it to drop below $40-50 before picking up that mouse. I don't feel it's worth the hefty $80 price tag.

Really? I love my Deathadder, never had any issues with it and it feels solidly built to me. I use a precision mousepad, so I'm not sure about laser accuracy on other surfaces. If they made it with 4 thumb-buttons I'd be ecstatic. Definitely a good mouse for the $50 price range, in my opinion.

I bought the G700 about a week ago to replace my aging Razer Lachesis, and I really love it so far. It has a comfortable design and I find the buttons to be more convenient than the Naga, on which I always ended up fat-fingering the wrong button. My only issues with the mouse are that it lacks a pinky rest and the rechargeable battery doesn't last especially long so I end up using it with the cord (which is a bit stiff out of the box) almost exclusively.

Hated the razer lachesis. Also if you have a fry's electronics in your area they have a good return policy too. 30 or 60 days on any non software product for the most part.
