Do you have any friends in the guild? If so, who?
After reading through most of the forums and interacting with several members, I can say that I've been impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the guild. ThatOneGuy, Nahku, Tr1age, and that one one with a long naem that starts with a "D" over in the theorycrafting 101 thread in particular. I wouldn't go so far as to call us friends, but I know I'd like to be.

Main Character Name
Keleynal

Race
Human

Profession(Class)
Ranger- I gravitate toward ranged classes. I like to far a wide view of the battle and strategically place myself to impact the outcome. I also like warriors and pets taking hits instead of me.

What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I enjoy PvE the most, particulary dungeons and large group raids. I know GW2 doesn't have raids, but there are in world events that are larger scale. Also, the WvW arena has a lot of PvE strategy aspects to it; its not just being locked into a small room with 9 other people, so I actually enjoy that more than pure "brawling" PvP.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I started playing WoW in college. I hit level 60 about a month before Burning Crusade, and I played heavily until about the time of Ruby Sanctum at the end of the WotLK patch. I was able to complete all the raids, BC to WotLK, with the exception of killing LK and Yogg Saron. For some reason, groups I went to those fights with just couldn't get it together. I stopped playing because I was dirt poor. I had a commission only sales job that wasn't doing so hot. I also didn't have the time to play and raid the way I wanted.

After getting a new, salaried, job, I decided I wanted to get back into gaming, but WoW was out because I don't want another monthly fee. I picked up Diablo 3 at release and was very excited about it for a couple weeks. However, the game has no guild support and doesn't feel rewarding to play socially. I started reading reviews and watching videos of other games and GW2 caught my eye as a good WoW alternative with no fees.

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was in guilds constantly my entire WoW career. I started out in Black Dragon Clan, a small guild made by RL friends of mine. We partnered with other guilds to run Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. We later merged with a guild to better tackle the raids in Burning Crusade. I probably was in 4 different guilds during my years playing WoW, but the players I was with stayed very consistent.

For the most part, my experience was positive. I became an officer and lead 25 man raids to SSC and BT. I also enjoyed helping out with random stuff, like running ZG for the mounts and doing the dungeon achievements. I would also help low level members (usually alts) with group quests they had a hard time finding groups for.

On the negative side, unfortunately when there's a large group of people, there's almost always one or two that are hard to play with. Maybe they think they are better tahn everyone else, so they deserve the best gear. Or maybe they are really, really bad players, but think it's everyone else's job to make them succeed. Or maybe they really are the best players, but they never show up and when they do their personality makes you mute them on vent. I don't like drama in any form, so my typical response is to make fun of them and/or mute them and go about my business with the people I can help.

How did you hear about the Guild?
I did a Google search and this one was to only interesting one that came up. After my initial app was denied, I considered trying to find an alternative, but I really don't think I'm going to find any place better.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I'm very helpful. I've got no problem at all dropping the random thing I'm doing and helping out a member. In GW2, it's hard to justify NOT helping since you get exp and rewards everywhere you go. I'd also say that I'm skilled. I'm not the best player you'll ever meet, but I'm one of the most eager to learn, able to admit my mistakes, and quick to correct. Some people also say I'm funny, but looks aren't everything.

For the ALTTABME community, I bring consistent participation, but on the forum and in game. I check the forum every day, and post anytime I think I have something worth saying. You won't get a lot of fluff from me, I try to contribute or ask a valid question.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
I've never joined more than one guild at once. When I'm in a guild, I'm very committed and active. I can't imagine having enough time to maintain 2 guild relationships.

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I managed to make a bad impression with my first application, so I'm hoping for a bit of redemption here. I hope that after seeing me around the forum and chat, you're able to make a solid evaluation of me. If this app is denied, I won't apply again, but I will stay as a part of the ALTTABME community. This site is a great resource and I enjoy coming here.

Have you finished all of the prerequisite requirements?
Yes

I am all for this app. He has been around a lot on the forums and we have gotten a much better feel for a cool cat :)
