let me see if I got this right:
Part 1
5 players
1 person chooses x number of players to go on a mission
all 5 players vote yes or no on whether those players get to go on the mission.
if majority yes then mission starts
if majority no then new leader pics mission members and no penalty for the game.
Part 2
once mission starts only players on mission vote succeed or fail
resistance can only vote succeed
spy can vote succeed or fail
if all vote succeed mission succeeds
if one or more vote fail then mission fails
Win conditions
3 succeeded missions and resistance wins
3 failed mission and spies wins
Spot on! I've been using way too many words to describe this game, I think that may have been doing more harm than good. You've narrowed it down to the important parts, and you've got them absolutely right. Only a few details need to be added:
Part 1
5 players
1 person chooses x number of players to go on a mission
all 5 players vote yes or no on whether those players get to go on the mission.
if majority yes then mission starts
if majority no
(or tie occurs) then new leader pics mission members and no penalty for the game.
if 5 teams are consecutively rejected, spies automatically win.
Part 2
once mission starts only players on mission vote succeed or fail
resistance can only vote succeed
spy can vote succeed or fail
if all vote succeed mission succeeds
if one or more vote fail then mission fails
Win conditions
3 succeeded missions and resistance wins
3 failed mission and spies wins
5 mission teams have been consecutively rejected: spies win.
The "x" number of players for each mission
is a fixed number. Depending on how many people are playing, these numbers will vary. With five players, mission #1 will
always have 2 people. Check the original post on this thread for a table with the numbers (you'll find it under
Details for a game of five players).
