Morning!
My name is Tink and I introducing myself in hopes to join your wonderful community!
I found out about AltTabMe thru the W* podcasts while skimming thru reddit/r/wildstar waiting for the Winter patch 4 to download. I loved the quick paced format of the show and what you guys were talking about. It seems you were genuiely excited for the game and, more importanly, playing with eachother. It was contageous and I had to find out more about this community.
So after lurking on your forums, I had to thrown my companion cube in and play with you guys.
Gaming life:
I have been playing games most of my life, any and all kinds of games. I enjoy drinking and shooting-the-shit with my friends either playing a game of spades, Robo Rally the board game or Challenege Modes in WoW (Hell, I used to LARP back in the day). I tend to lean toward the MMO's and FPS genre of video games, but I have been known to chill in Minecraft.
Been playing WoW since friends and family alpha, got into Star Wars and GW2 for a while (both of those games could not hold me with their endgame), and now I am enjoying beta-testing Wildstar.
I am more of a hardcore/min max type of player. When I get into a game, I usually go whole hog. Wildstar will be no exception. I plan on raiding 20 mans, 40 mans, arenas, and warplots. And your community seems to be a perfect fit.
IRL:
I am a Director of Visual Design for a tech company here in the midwest (Google fiber, yo!). I live with 2 beautiful Fur-Kids named Bucket and Delilah... so spoiled. I held many interesting jobs through out my life: I was a Outrider for Games Workshop US (I had a crazy obsession with little metal miniatures), I had my own Larping chapter with my ex wife, and I was a professional jouster for a jousting troope that toured the country's Ren Fairs. It was wild.
Now that I am older and crankier, I like to sit back and fight dragons and monsters online with my friends.
I will be hopping on mumble when I am playing Wildstar and hopefully will meet a few of you!
Cheers,
Tink
