You receive an envelope addressed to you but without a return address, closed with a gold wax seal with a symbol stamped into it that looks like an eye. Opening it reveals a letter written on parchment in neat, scripted handwriting which reads:

"Salutations!

"Or shall I say congratulations? As you, among but a few, are cordially invited to take part in the future - a future where your very imagination becomes reality.

"Introducing Wondertech: The latest and greatest in virtual reality simulation, entering beta testing the weekend of March 8th. We at Perfect World Inc. wish for you to join us as we break new grounds in what the human race perceives as reality. If you are interested - and we sincerely hope you are - you need only reply here, and we will send someone to bring you to our facility in seven days. Consider it an all-expenses-paid weekend vacation! You need not bring anything; we are more than capable of providing for you.

RP Info: God Mode features certain sections within virtual reality where the player can do almost anything (so long as they follow the rules) as well as real-life sections where you'll be limited by your surroundings. Violence will be disabled in VR at times.

Name: Alex Vrynn
Age: 25
Gender: Male

Appearance: 5'8" Caucasian with short, black spiky hair and intimidating blue eyes. His attire is neat and simple and he maintains a professional appearance at all times.

Personality: Alex has a very strong air of confidence about him and it shows in the way he carries himself. He is extremely direct and holds nothing back - definitely not one for subtlety. He's a natural leader but does not care much for the little people, only what they can accomplish for him. Alex has very strong ideals and is a bit of a control freak.

Background Info: Growing up in the Information Age, Alex came to realize that now more than ever the beliefs of the general populace were extremely malleable. With 24/7 news, the Internet, and all of it becoming more portable with each passing year, it was incredibly easy to spread information, ideas, and with those change the world. Having very strong ideals about how the world should work, he sought to do just that through the media and politics. However, he could never gain the necessary popularity to move forward. His overly factual and non-sympathetic personality gathered him few followers. It appeared as if people preferred charisma over results - as if to them, it was ok that the world was falling apart so long as they looked good doing it.

Then he received the mysterious letter. Virtual reality... this could be it, this could be what he needed to make people see what he saw. If he could harness this technology to its fullest, perhaps he could finally make a difference.

Greatest Desire: Power. Ultimate control over society and its people, running things the way he best sees fit.
Greatest Fear: Never accomplishing anything, living a meaningless life. Individual failures don't bother him so much, he is very persistent and refuses to give up, but fears that all his effort may be for nothing in the end.

Gender: Female

Appearance: 5' 5'', Caucasian, Unruly Medium-Length Brown Hair with hints of gray at the temples. Brown eyes, with a visible scar just above her right lid that leaves a slight gap in the appearance of her brow. Her fashion leans toward bohemian chic and thrift/consignment store vintage clothing. Laid back personality, slow-to-anger, and extremely inquisitive. She prefers rural locations over busy cities, but adapts well to her environment, wherever that may be.

Background: An artist by choice, and gallery curator by trade, Anita has been an avid supporter of the Cultural Arts community since her junior high school days. A seasoned traveler, recently widowed; Anita lost her husband to lung cancer after 22 years of marriage. She loves engaging others in conversation, mostly about themselves, and tends to shy away from discussing her personal life, accomplishments & experiences. But she has a bit of reknown for her unusual sculptures and vivid acrylic paintings.

When she received the mysterious letter with the intriguing wax seal, she presumed it was from one of the members of the Gallery, or perhaps an outside business acquaintance who was inviting her to critique their latest project. Anita often received invitations to exhibitions and area showcases, so she wasn't surprised by the invitation... just very curious, as she liked to assess the competition. And, after losing her husband, with whom she had a very deep and intimate connection with, any diversion was a welcome reprieve from the grieving process.

Greatest Desire: Space travel, exploring the vast universe. She also would love to reunite with her beloved, some day... some way... somehow.

Greatest Fear: Suffocating in any form. Drowning, Being Buried Alive, Smothered with a Pillow, Having Her Ability to Creatively Express Herself Taken Away, etc.

Aside: Her signature catch phrase, especially when she is feeling particularly snarky is, "Whatever Anita wants, Anita Getz."

Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes, very innocent features. Baby faced.
Personality: Hyper, super talkative, wants to be liked, has a lot to say, loves conversation, enjoys debate but doesn't know how to pick a side. Tries to be tougher than he is, knows he is tougher than people think.
Background Info: Picked on all throughout highschool, ventured outside of his school for friends, feels the need to be out and about or he is not living, dislikes video games because they chain you to a chair, but secretly loves them just doesn't know how to unwind from social anxiety of being a "dork".
Greatest Desire: To be popular, loved, adorned, famed.
Greatest Fear: Getting old and not having actually lived his dreams, thus resenting life, to which he loves.

Background Info: James was a lonely child growing up. Not able to fit in but had a loving family who would get him anything he asked for just to see a smile on his face if only for a moment. At school he kept hearing the name Wondertech and got up the courage to ask a fellow college student what it was and realized this could be a place he could start over and have "friends".
Greatest Desire: To be rich and be able to spread my joy to those around me. JUST KIDDING. I want to make some friends and be able to help beat the game.
