What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
PvE will be my initial focus, with a more casual approach to PvP. I tend to prefer the party/raid content and usually just PvP to pass time. That being said, I do enjoy PvP much more when you dont have to pug, so if there are going to be guild related activities within the realm of PvP, I'll definitely make plans to be a part of it.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
Much like most people, there's a massive list here. I've got the most experience with WoW (Vanilla to Cata), with lots of experience in all aspects (raiding - including leading, pvp, arena, crafting, pvp, etc). I've also got a lot of experience in EQ, SWTOR, Aion, Rift and WAR, and lets not forget the original Guild Wars. I still play it from time to time!

I've played dozens of other online games from RTS, Hack-n-Slashes, FPS' to fighting games. I tend to gravitate more towards those with a team based approach though, especially when its more reliant on co-operation.

Strictly speaking though, the majority of my MMO experience is a combination of WoW for PvE and WAR for PvP (some PvP in SWTOR as well).

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I went through 4 different servers during my WoW experiences and have played in a wide variety of guilds. I've been in start up guilds (1-3 people recruiting dozens of new players to fill ranks) and generally been dissapointed. This is usually because the "all people accepted" approach leads to a bunch of people joining in the hopes of using the guild to benefit themselves, rather than using themselves to benefit the guild and its members as a whole.

That being said, I've been a part of two fantastic guilds. The first was The Tribe, a horde guild from Aggramar which laid claim to having the most active members for a number of years in WoW. The core group was RL friends and had a fantastic family approach. The Tribe was known as one of the friendliest guilds around and was always willing to help. This was probably the most enjoyable time I've had in an MMO to date. A lot of my personal feelings towards guilds stems from this experience. I truly feel that a guild should feel like a family, hell, a lot of the time you end up spending more time playing with your guild than seeing your RL family. A guild should be a place where members contribute for the benefit of the guild first and their personal gain second. I'm also a heavy believer that the best way to learn a game is through a guild. It allows access to all aspects of gaming and really make the learning curve much more approachable.

How did you hear about the Guild?
I heard about the guild from the podcasts, I believe I initially stumbled across those from a Reddit post.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I like to think that I'd bring all 4 of the suggested traits :). More specifically though, I bring a lot of years of experience within MMO's and am comfortable helping people transition. I'm a skilled and knowledgeable gamer and I don't mind sharing what I know. Furthermore, I enjoy video games! GW2, and whatever guild I end up in, will be a source of enjoyement for me.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
It will be, unless, down the line there is some sort of offshoot guild (lets say for alts or recruits)

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Hopefully I painted a pretty good picture of myself and my background, if there are more specific questions, please ask.

As a side note, I indicated a Mesmer as my class of choice. To date, I've played a Warrior, Thief, Necro, Engineer, Guardian and Mesmer. I do prefer more of a DPS/Support Role and have (at least for the time being) settled on Mesmer since it seems like the whole damage/+illusion aspect will be suitable for both PvE and PvP.

FYI alts are automatically in the guild :)
Part of the guild wars 2 system. Welcome aboard!
