I know there is a gift created in the mystic forge using crafting materials from the event thats involved but people were vague on what else they needed, besides a shitload of Elonian wine.

Also I have like another 300 chests I am probably going to open...ugh spent too much money on keys lol. I did get the one-handed chainsword skin and it promptly sold on the AH for 5g as soon as I listed it. the greatsword and shield are the ones everyone wants.

Yep! I believe it is simply called [Chain Sword Skin] . The greatsword one is called like Greatsaw skin i believe.
 
zakis is correct, and I will probably pick up the spiderbow skin and just put it on a good stats bow.
 
no the skin is from the bl chests and I will just buy one off the TP before the event is over and transmute it.

I see no reason to make the real thing. The only thing you really get is the name. The stats on the crafted weapons is unknown and there are probably better weapons out there that you can reskin.
 
yep. The weapons can be crafted as a level 80 item with its own stats that can be sold on the tp. Or, the skin can drop from the chests which has no stats and is only used to transmute onto another weapon.
 
ah ok, definitely gonna buy myself the skins then. That or spend more money on Keys for all these chests I have.

There's 6 weapon skins that come out of the chest and then there are the 3 temporary ones that come from the candy corn/silver vendor. The 3 temporary ones can be made into permanent weapons but that's the crazy mats list on the first page. I don't believe you can make the other 6 weapons but maybe you can.
 
what they said. I don't know how I spent so much time not making the point as clear as these two. I'm tired. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!
 
170 chests and I got 2 gun skins, 2 different shoulders, and the shield. Sold the shield for a 25g total gain on the sale, but I am still well under what I spent for gems (about 60g a month ago). Wasn't worth it.
 
You dont wanna know how much real money I spent on keys and I still have like 200+ chests in my bank. I think I opened about 60+ and I got...a Chain Sword skin(the 1hander). I made 5g.....totally not worth it...never buying keys again if this is how the events are going to go. Unless they up the percentage a bit. I am not talking like omg every chest needs something but its a horribly low drop rate. Lesson learned lol, ANet enjoy my money cause I aint spendin anything for a while.
 
I saw that. Make sure not to throw away the stuff you get from the chests because they are working on making that stuff throwable into the mystic forge to get halloween stuff instead.
