I just wanted to give you guys the heads up. My struggling casino town had suffered great losses with almost every attempt to advance in gambling and tourism resulting in failure. I had moderate success in building casino towns in the past, so I was pretty sure, despite claims from angry mayors everywhere, it is quite possible, even in the game's current state. However, after a slew of minor disasters which only slowed progress, a devastating meltdown occurred at the nuclear power plant. Seeing the irreparable devastation, and resulting financial stress this would put on Wessex's already perilous economic position, I decided the only responsible thing to do as mayor was complete the destruction of the entire city, and try to rebuild from scratch. If anyone online in the region was paying close attention, they might have seen my 100k+ population drop to less than 3,000. Amazingly, after a terrible decision to build into the radiation zone in order to test how long it could prevent growth, which is appears to be indefinitely, I managed to build a somewhat successful new Wessex, and balance the economic situation enough to sustain a 2nd growth period, and modest success state. Alas, despite a valiant effort to come back to life, Wessex meets it's end having exhausted almost all it's available water resource. Jia's support from the North was the only thing making it possible for life to exist in the city for quite a while, but interruption of that supply has recently caused ore mining to cease, and the inevitable end has become imminent. So, let me know if you guys need me to abandon the site or what. Does abandoning a plot cause a reset of resources and environment, or will it remain in the state the last mayor leaves it?
