Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced!

I remember those clues, so glad they finally announced it! Ruby/Sapphire have been some of my favorites in the series. :)

This was one Gen that i actually skipped/didn't play to hard in. I would really like to go back and play it when they re-release it. Should be interesting to say the least.

This was a fun one. I had just purchased a GBA for this version, and it came with a strategy guide bundled. I literally stopped at wal-mart on my way home from school to pick it up and threw it in my backpack on my day off from work (Ruby btw, I always tend to get the red versions because my other friends always wanted blue).

Down the line when Fire Red came out, I bought an SP and red off of a friend who was done with it and never planned on picking it up again. OMG BACKLIT SCREENS. Still have the black SP... But no charger. Still have my old Ruby as well. Still have all of them actually, except my D/P/P versions, those were lost in transition at some point... :(

My most memorable experience with this generation was when i picked up Pokemon Emerald and its guide prior to moving from California to Maryland after 7th Grade. Those five days in the care just flew by as I battled and caught more pokemons. Granted, I did have the previous ones as well. At one point, I had every game of that generation, sadly many of them have been lost one way or another, but luckily, my Gen III team made its transition over to the DS in platinum, as did my entire legendary collection :)

So excited to see these remakes at long last! The hoenn region is by far my favorite. oh and coliseum battles in XD gale of darkness with my SP - so much fun!

Gen 1 best Gen IMO, but that's just from a pure nostalgia standpoint. D/P/P was quite awesome with the internet integration, but really X/Y just took it to the top level with their online revamp.

All gens are great.
