GW2 Get out of Work free card

I booked a dentist appointment right after lunch on Friday, obviously going to cancel that and just go home and play!

Anyone else used any funny excuses to get out of work on Friday?
 
Im on vacation but normally I just call in sick. Sometimes I don't even make an effort to hide that I am not sick, like that time I was at a bar with music blasting in the background. No one gives a shit at our job. Morale isn't even existent, people worry about taking care of themselves because most others and the administration couldnt give a fuck about us. Can you tell I love my job?

Sorta came along. I would rather be in the video game industry honestly. That or go back to 911 Dispatching. Unfortunately Dispatchers dont get paid nearly enough for the shit they deal with sometimes.
 
As a tester, or do you have some sort of graphical/programming background? (or something else useful)

I wanted to go back to school for Animation or something along those lines, but I tried and couldnt do both that and work at the moment. I work graveyard shift, smallest shift leading into the biggest shift and I get a lot of forced overtime.
 
I just play from work. If it was release I would probably take one of my vacation days. I may still do that on release/head start.
 
Just got someone to cover my shift friday! Thats the good thing about being a FF, you can get people from other shifts to work a shift for you and that means you have 5 days off! 24/48 schedule ftw

Lucky, I wish we had at least 12 hour shifts or so here. We still run 8 hour shifts. You can switch with people and stuff though.

Yea the switching is awesome! Makes last minute things that come up easier to deal with, especially if you have friends to cover for you lol
 
Cool. I cant imagine being locked up in a big can with those maniacs. My dad worked at Rikers for a bit after he retired from the Army. He said his favorite part of the job was when the riot alarms went off and they geared up and smashed heads.

Haha. Yeah I have a couple of co-workers who worked there. Unfortunately things arent like they used to be, especially in the county jails. Everything is kinder and gentler, or as we like to call it hug-a-thug. Frankly, it makes me sick.
