RP GAMES The Resistance (beta 1.712)

Well, the Aussie's are asleep, so it'll probably be a bit before they vote.

But 5 bucks on a resistance win for round 1.

It'll be nice to be on the winning side AND make money on it.

I'll take that action.

Dainjre is a newbie as was pretty quick jumping on that vote. If he's a spy; I bet he sabotaged it.

While this is true, I happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. Are you kidding? Of COURSE I sabotaged the first mission. I always sacrifice my queen first in chess too. I also put tanky units in the back because they live longer anyway. So how much can I bet that I will succeed my first mission?

Insider trading is never allowed. Duh.

Double or nothing, Bruce. This guy is squirmy. Also, he thinks he's a queen.

Can all the spies message me please and tell me that you're a spy. It would be greatly appreciated!

If what is said is true, it looks like the resistance should have to worry about one less spy. Although the spies are now one step closer to victory, this may help out the resistance in the long run. Only time and mission results will show us how this will play out!

You see it doesnt make any logical sense to bring such attention to yourself, even if the sarcasm meter is going off the charts, if the mission does fail then that only puts a large target on his back even if he was indeed lying. So if he was resistance that would be one less person that would get voted in, and it would leave a spy who theoretically could have voted to fail the mission walk away free and able to stop another mission.

In my opinion there is no wrong move in this game.

Take him for an example, say he was resistance and the vote failed and he became marked as a spy. Other spies might be more inclined to reach out to him since the spies do not know one another. He could then take that information and help the resistance if someone was still willing to trust him. (In other words he would become a spy working for the resistance and spying on the spies.) The game is all about trust to me.

Your right that it's about trust, but gaining the trust of the spies is worthless if you don't have the trust of other resistance members. Priority 1 should be identifying and gaining the trust of other resistance members. This game isn't so long that you can play both sides and expect the resistance to win.

I love that I'm the topic of conversation. I'm not a spy, scouts honor.

If Dainjre IS a spy, he clearly went to the Tristan School of Spying. Make it obvious you're a spy, and thereby draw suspicion away from his hidden comrades.

Its not a bad plan, actually. But we'll see how it shakes out.

Kel, why are you booing me? Based on the rants you post, I know you're not being childish or immature, so I don't understand.

All I've done is point out that I find Dainjre highly suspect. His words make me believe he is a spy. Which has several effects. If people believe he's a spy, then the spies will flock to him. If he's just being silly, and he's NOT a spy, then it puts him in a powerful position as the lynchpin of the spy network - all the while working for the resistance. Its actually a very interesting move, as it will galvanise the playing field.

Now take the idea that dainjre ISN'T a spy, but Diremongoose IS. Which is probable, because he will always be a spy to me after his masterful performance in the first game. He has a chance to sabotage a mission while being able to pin the blame ENTIRELY on Dainjre. Given his actions, I can only assume that this mission will fail. Because Dainjre is a spy and plans to sabotage, or because he's not a spy, and either myself or Diremongoose will vote for failure. And if there's more than one spy, and there are multiple fail votes, it will make things very interesting.

So again, I don't understand why you're booing me. Is it because you're a spy, and you're trying to protect a compatriot?
