Greetings, members of the Resistance!

Over the next few days you will be sent on missions in an attempt to overthrow the malignant government and to establish a new state, one free of oppression and corruption.

But be warned: A reliable source informed me that two spies are in your midst - they will try to sabotage your missions, so you must identify them before it is too late. It is highly important that the majority of your missions are a success, otherwise your struggle will be for naught! Time is of the essence, so make haste, but be wary!


Players:
#1: Kel
#2: Kismet
#3: Dire
#4: Tig
#5: Tristan

Team size for each mission:
Mission #1: 2 people
Mission #2: 3 people
Mission #3: 2 people
Mission #4: 3 people
Mission #5: 3 people

((Since most of you aren't familiar with this game, I'll give you instructions via PM and/or on this thread. You can also use the sign-up thread for questions/suggestions if you like.

Now, each of you will receive a PM from me, letting you know which side you are playing on: Spy or Resistance. I've assigned your roles randomly.
Keep in mind that you can openly tell your fellow Resistance members that you're a "good guy", that you're part of the Resistance - however, a Spy will also insist that he is one of the good guys. There is no way of knowing who's truly a part of the Resistance, and who is trying to sabotage it. You will only be able to figure out who the two bad eggs are by evaluating mission outcomes and by observing your fellow players' words and votes.

Getting started:
The first step to start the game is to have the current team leader pick a team. Keleynal will be the first team leader, followed by Kismet, Dire, Tig, and Tristan. Team leadership will continue to rotate until the game comes to an end.

Keleynal will now have to pick two people whom he would like send on Mission #1 (he may include himself) and post his choice on this thread.

After he's made his pick, everyone, including Kel, will send me a PM letting me know if they agree or disagree with Kel's team suggestion.

Note that (in my experience) the first team pick is hardly ever met with objections, since information on who can and can't be trusted is literally non-existent at this point. You haven't a clue who's good and who's bad so early into the game - but if you have a reason to disagree with Kel's pick (or maybe you just want to stir things up), then by all means: Feel free to disagree!

You may post messages on this thread at any time! Accuse fellow members, ask trick questions, put the blame for a failed mission on somebody else!
While I would highly suggest to keep conversations "public" on this thread, if you do choose to PM a specific player because - for whatever naive reason - you believe he or she is a good guy, don't forget to include me in your private conversation. Needless to say, the two Spies will be conspiring in private the whole time, :) ))

If you are not a part of this game, please do not post on this thread. If you have questions or comments, feel free to use this thread instead.
 
I spy with my little eye four empty chairs around the table. Looks like room for 2 more resistance and 2 spies... muahahahaha!
I bet Tristan is a spy. ;)
 
I agree...with his jet-set lifestyle and ninja forum skills, It's almost certain the Tristan is a spy! I bet he secretly speaks 5 languages and has a layzor wrist-watch (lets face it - lazers are the only valid reason to have a watch these days)...
 
I get off a plane and I am a spy now? Pfft how did I make it through customs then! Although do I get spandex? cause if so yes yes I am the spy!
 
Then again...short responses are often the sign of a spy (in mafia at least), T1G could be a spy! I say we put him on a mission to prove himself...
 
I've got to say, none of your infighting has inspired much confidence in me at all.

It looks like I'll need to supervise this first mission personally. T1G will join me. His high tech Tron suit will be uniquely suited for our mission to sneak in and out of the government's strategic lightbulb factory. If we are spotted, I can just pretend he is a defective halogen.

This mission is doomed for success!
 
I find it suspicious that he changed just as I said how critical his outfit would be for the mission. If it fails, I guess I'll know who sabotaged it.
 
Do we vote to approve or disapprove the mission people here or in PMs? I know we vote success or failure in PMs.
 
Right, so Keleynal has to pick one more person other than himself and T1G, then presumably we can vote on the mission going ahead. Since we have no data to go on, there's no point in voting against the first mission team!

Kel only has to pick two people for mission #1 (consult this thread's original post for the fixed team sizes for each mission).

The next step for each of you is to tell me in PM if you agree with Kel's team pick:
Kel chose Tig and himself for the mission. Do you approve of this team, or do you reject it? Send me your vote via PM, do not post it in public.

Why do you want to do the first mission so badly! Is it because you were appointed leader or because you want it to FAIL!
THE CONSPIRACY IS BIGGER THAN ALL THE THINGS!
 
Ok, so we're just waiting on votes now, I think. Once everyone has attacked Jia's inbox, the mission should go ahead. Then we wait on two more votes for Kel and T1G...

Kel and Tig are now sneaking around in the government's strategic lightbulb factory. Will their mission (objective: to sneak around) be successful? Or will they end up in the spot light?

Kel is dragging this out cause he wants to look like he was AFK and then be like OOOPS failure! :p Spy's.. bunch of bitchy little girls... shit that makes it look like me..
 
I must say. Dire is working very hard to manufacture reasons that everyone BUT him is a spy. I think he is deflecting the eye of the mob because he is the spy.
