A cold and wintery day is upon us in Tyria. Wind blows fiercely into the faces of the beings that surround the battlefield.

Genivee a Necromancer of the Vigil stares off into the distance. She and her comrades have decided to take on their foes. The enemies are summoned by an Elder Dragon Primordus, which has led them to The Depths of Tyria. Once a home to the asura many years ago, they had to escape for fear of being wiped out.

Fire rages in every direction, but that is no matter to them, they are prepared. Today they stand together, to fight their common goal. They stand with weapons drawn prepared for battle at the entrance of the Depths.

Genivee looks out to her fellow clan, she believes in their worth, for they are the best of the best and have gone through many a challenges before. She has lost men and women in battles but this does not slow her down, death she believes is just the beginning of many more exciting battles. A smile draws across her face as the sound of a battle horn billows in the distance, this symbolizes that they are about to move on.

"Today my brothers and sisters, our enemies shall meet their end by our hands! They think to defy us? They kill our families! They plunder our towns! But I say NO MORE!" Genivee yells out. "Today they will not know what hit them!" She pauses. "You are the best Soldiers, Scholars, and Adventurers in this land! I know we will succeed in anything we do, for WE NEVER FAIL!" She ends her speech as cold air pierces her lungs. Her heart thunders with rage and adrenaline as she throws her fists into the air.

She motions to her second in command to sound the charge to march on, into The Depths of Tyria.

Kulghar took a step forward and hunched over, catching the eye of Genivee he nodded, raised his head and let out a battlecry even he didn't realise he was capable of.
"Men and women, Charr and Asura of the Vigil, charge with us now!" He started marching forward as he roared the statement and the vast army of the Vigil surged forward with him.

Kulghar hungered for battle, with his pistol and sword holstered, he extended and retracted his claws in his fist over and over savouring the surge of adreneline for the up coming battle. He looked across at Genivee, nodded once more and attempeed smiling before dropping to all fours and sprinting at the enemy.

((Going to jump on this before anyone else does! First things first though, im on my phone and can't access a computer at the minute so sorry for not changing the colour and sorry for any bad spelling. I'll edit it when i get home!))

As her army runs past her she begins to speak under her breath. The words she speaks are not audible, but anyone who knows her well enough, knows what she is about to do. Using all the power that resides inside her she summons one of her demonic companions.

Just as the last word escapes her lips out comes a minion of her choosing. It is a shadow fiend, a dark and fierce creature of the night. Genivee sends it out before her, she controls it with just a thought of her mind. The shadow fiend teleports to the front of the battle and silences the first monster of Primordus's army in its tracks. This allows her armies front of the line to strike at will.

She is pleased as she watches her fellow men and women battle. Feeling already triumphed she begins to cast her next spell - a poison liquid she calls Dark Water.

((Its ok, my spelling isn't the greatest till i spell check it =) + sorry for the slow pace of replying ))

Kulghar relishes the impending battle, glancing over his shoulder he see's that he is a little ahead of the Vigil but this doesn't affect his stride.
"Anytime... Now... ahhh!" He pants as he charges towards the creature that, as he expected, had been silenced by Genivee's minion.
Blood stained his paw's as he tore through the helpless creature as if it had been a training dummy. He clambered up the already slumping body and pounced onto his next victim using his claws again to stab and slash at any weak points he could find. 'They go down easy enough..' he thought as he looked over the battelfield. 'It's just going to be there sheer numbers that will be a problem...'
While surveying the battlefield he saw one the creatures running towards him. He slowely drew his sword from its scabbard, savouring the grating sound it produced. He looked directly into the cold eyes of the creature infront of him, he didnt see fear.
"Fool" he said dropping to one knee. The creatures pace faltered as Kulghar suddenly dissapeared leaving behind a shadowy figure which slowely wisped away and dissolved into nothing. Pain and sudden realisation washed across the face of the creature as Kulghar's sword pierced It's armour and embedded itself within it. After the body dropped he turned and found himself completely surrounded....

((its fine, the time difference doesnt help!! Not 100% sure what we are fighting yet, ill leave it to you for a description?))

Genivee's spell of poisoned water splashes across the enemies faces. The fiery minions of Primordus's army are a small imp like creature with fire that blazes from their skin creating a powerful armor. As the water drenches their bodies the fire decreases, allowing the warriors of her army to penetrate their weak points. Poison sinks into the wounds of the foes and creates a decay of flesh.

Genivee looks around the entrance of the Depths, some of her men have fallen, some are still going on. She notices her friend and second in command Kulghar being surrounded by the fiery minions. She reacts instantly and runs forward as she sends her Shadow Fiend to stun one of them that have created a ring of fire around him.

Coming in from behind she put her hand on Kulghars shoulder. "Thinking you were alone Kulghar?" She says as she pulls out her dagger from its sheath. She kneels down in a defensive motion ready for whatever these demons decide to throw at them.

(( I made up what the fiery minions/demons look like, I could not find a description or picture of them BUT im guessing they are a sort of fire elemental or demon..))

"Alone?"
An echo of sound resonates not only in the battle lorn air but in the ground and bodies of those around.
A sense of the mind being pulled from the body is felt by all.
Genivee holds her defensive stance as Kulghar grips his pistol tightly preparing for the impact of the rushing minions....

But as if they had been asleep and now awoke from a nightmare they were facing, they stand 100 feet from battle. Below their feet, the minions reflected, blood dripping from their teeth, warm hungry breaths vaporizing into the cool night air. So close and clear, as if they could be touched the two cannot stop but stare at their feet.

Gun shots rain out from the distance, yet Kulgar still has his finger near the trigger, but still mesmerized by that at their feet they see the monstrous beast take it's last vulgar breath as it's head is pulverized in what seems like an unloaded pistol from only meters away.

In this grotesque moment the two shield their faces from the inevitable blood, brains, and gore that will impact them. But the ground turns to dirt at their feet. They look up from their almost trance like state and look ahead of them, seeing the body falling as if time has slowed itself. As the beast falls, revealed is a bright duelist pistols still smoking, but instead of ash and cinder, broken shards of winds fall from the barrels.

Whispers can be heard all around the figure. The world infront of Genivee and Kulgar seems to be breaking upon itself. A reflection shattered.

A battle cry is heard as Triage appears from this mind wracked view. Staff in hand she drops the end into the ground as it lights up with bright bolts of lightning and static. The Broodmother has taken notice of her young laying on the ground drenched in it's own blood, letting out a battle cry loud and fierce. Over the hill 3 of her followers run full steed toward Triage's position. The lightning flying from the sky not slowing their pace. As they enter the void, Triage chants a mantra blasting a powerful aura of winged illusions and shattered glass from the very essence of her body. The Broodmother and minions look somewhat stunned at the spectacle but stand their ground in the massive storm still overhead.

Genivee and Kulghar are about to run into the battle, now recognizing their sister Triage from prior engagements, but as they step their first foot forward, Kulgar pulls out his blade and puts it up to the throat of a new visitor to his left,

"Kulghar, still on edge as always." She takes a slow breath in, blade still to throat, she swallows slowly, puts her hand to the blade pushing it away from her. The shifting space around her still normalizing as she screams out words of a siren looking to capture an entire fleet!

Genivee, not aware of Triage being next to Kulgar, let's out a small gasp as the staff planted Triage mid storm breaks into a million pieces and expands the world around her in an almost glamorous percussive combustion.

Still in a dead eye'd stare with Kulghar, shards of a world that once was flies by their heads, Triage is satisfied as she sees the outcome on one of the mirrored shards showing a crater where her clone and duelist once stood... the wave of debris slows and turns into creatures of beauty flying into just a thought of what was.

Genivee, now seeing Triage and Kulghar standing face to face, not amused by all of this notices behind the brightly blinding smoke and remnant strikes of a storm once was, 10-15 more layers deep of battle in the depths ahead of them.

(I hope you don't mind me including your reactions to certain things to establish my way into this story.)

Kulghar held his sword with an unflinching iron grip.
"You really shouldn't mess with a Charr's head like that in the middle of battle.." he growled. Though he was thankful for the help, it had thrown him a little bit. He lowered his sword and nodded his approval and thanks anyway.

The battle was still raging around them, the Vigil against the fiery minions of the Elder Dragon. Though it seemed the Vigil where pushing the fight, Kulghar knew there was a way to go yet.
Suddenly he froze. His fur bristled all around him as he sniffed the air. 'Strange..' He thought to himself.
"I think I can smell..." He didn't finish. He had turned his attention to the sky as the fiery meteor's thundered down toward them. There was an elementalist around in the enemy ranks, though he couldn't spot it right now he had to get out of there, and the others, fast.
The flaming stars fell from the heavens at an incredible speed, burning through the sky leaving a trail of smoke and cloud. Kulghar thought fast and shouted,
"Don't let go!" as he grabbed the other two who where also in the line of fire. The three of them disappeared leaving behind three swirling figures of shadow which almost immediately after disappearing exploded into shards of burnt earth as the meteor hit, followed by several others in a rough 10 meter radius. Several of the vigil soldiers fell and a vast number where maimed and unable to continue the fight.

A loud battle cry was let off as the minions elementalist stepped out of the darkness, thinking he had slain the leader and some of the commanders of the group it felt safe to show itself. Hulking above the rest of the minions it stood tall. It's charcoal body was burning brighter than the others and the few Vigil that attempted firing their arrows at it soon gave up. It held a mighty staff which resembled a small burnt tree.

The group moved through the shadow realm as quickly as Kulghar could drag them, he remembered the first time he had used the gateway that had been bestowed upon him during his training in the legion. The world moves slow, everything is dark. Your vision is greatly reduced as the darkness starts to seep in, the shadows wisping slowely towards you, trying to wrap and warp themselves slowely over your body and prevent you from getting to your destination. Taking you as their own. Turning, he saw the distress on the faces of the other two who had, he assumed, never experienced this place and thus quickly pulled them back through the gateway and back into the battle safe from the explosion of the meteors. He gazed across the battlefield and saw the elementalist streaking fireballs into the vigil's ranks, then looked towards the others.

"We need to take him out, and fast. Our men will falter if he does anymore destruction and any that were around to see that meteor hit might also assume we are dead..." he grunted at the thought of dying to such a pathetic creature. "We can use this to our advantage, I can drag us back through the gateway but.." He looked towards the elementalists hulking figure leaning onto the large staff which Kulghar now realised was made from the bone of some other larger creature. "I can't take us that far, we are going to have to get closer first anyway.."

He looked towards the others for suggestions, they had to be quick. The creature was too strong for the Vigil's army and it was tearing through their ranks..

((I don't mind. To be honest it fit in with my character, I'm a Charr. I don't like anyone! I did a little bit too, hope it's okay. Thought I'd bring in a bit of a enemy leader. I used a bit of GW1 in there with regards to the fact that the enemies had elementalist/ranger/warrior champions ect..))

Genivee's head was spinning. It had all seemed like a dream, but a dream that lasted a lifetime. She experienced something she had never felt before. A gush of power pressing down upon every inch of her body and before she realized what was happening it was over. She stood in front of Kulghar and Triage. Kulghar was speaking, the words were jumbled in her head as she tried to make sense of what was happening. "..going to have to get closer first anyway.." is all she made out of what was said by her second in command.

Falling to her knees Genivee looked up to her comrades. "Of course" she whispers under her breath. Triage had jumped into the battle at just the right time, the speed and skill he wields is too much for a necromancer to comprehend. She herself is just as powerful and just as skillful, but her world revolves more slowly, more in real time. Genivee's cloak rolls off her shoulders as she stands up. "Now I understand.. what happened. But a warning would have been nice!" She glares at the two of them and ends the glare in a smirk as she turns around and faces the battlefield. What she see's is devastation, she wont admit she is happy for what the other two did, that is not her way.

There it stands, the cause of all this destruction, in all its fierceness, a large elementalist. She has seen one before, a long time ago. A time that was almost as terrible as this day, indeed it seemed like a flashback in time.

"Now if I heard correctly.. You want to head back towards that creature?" Genivee asks Kulghar. "Of course I agree. Just hold up for a minute." Smirking at them she picks up her fallen cloak and wraps it around her shoulders. She needs this cloak, its very properties make or break a battle for her, its secrets a mystery to her foes.
"At your call Triage, we shall move towards that creature,... it shall flee when it sees what I have in store." Genivees eyes narrow, her mind already knowing what it must do. Smiling she holds out her arm to be taken back into the gateway.

Triage circles the two as the ground begins to phase... but right as we see the feet of the enemy on the other end, it withers out as quickly as it began to form.

"That elementalist is protecting the army! Looks like we are going on foot!", Eyeing Kulghar with a snide expression knowing he loves to get on all fours.

Triage quickly phases out breaking the stare between the two leaving behind only the remnants of her magic.

((My portal is on cooldown?!?!?!?!?! WTF))

"Where am I?" she wondered as she carefully stepped through the fog and gloom. In a land seeped in mist, her efforts of moving through the mist were nil, because whenever she tried to clear it--more would just come back and fill it's place.

"How did I get here?" she asked herself as the world around her became more and more constricting and suffocating, but for some reason she was able to hear explosions in the distance. She kept moving towards the sound as it became louder and the vibrations were able to be felt on her skin. Suddenly something hit her, it was heavy and fast, yet she felt no pain.

She promptly awoke from her daze and realized that there were meteors raining down in front of her. She tried to make it stop but she realized it was futile. She wasn't able to move or control her body! The only thing she was able to do was watch through the crystallized frame that appeared before her. Through the distorted view, smoke, and cinders--she could barely make out what seemed to be an army.

"This must be another dream, I don't remember being in a battle," she thought to herself. "This can't be real." Just as she started to think that, the prison she was in started to move. Slowly and methodically, it sauntered forward, raining what seemed like balls of flame at the distorted figures in front of her. "This is my spell! How is this creation using my spell?!"

((Now you guys have the choice of helping me escape my prison, or destroying my prison with me in it ^^ Either way you will have to fight me. Don't make it too easy ;D))

Astrid Jorvikskyr suddenly appeared behind the necromancer and charr, her glacial blue eyes sparkling with the light of battle.

"Better late than never," she chortled to Kulghar, " my numbers will soon surpass yours!"

With that the Norn elementalists' body arced gracefully and she slowly started to spin, her skirts and white blonde hair billowing. She gathered momentum, spinning faster and faster, her staff a burnished silver toned blurr until her battle cry soared, screeched, pummelled their ears. They could no longer view the distinct outline of her body as she dissolved and coalesced into a whirling vortex of screaming wind that swirled forward tunneling a path of destruction, moving ever closer to their enemy elementalist target.

Kulghar dropped to all fours and sprinted back towards the battle. He had had to make a decision, that being Triage could not portal them any closer to the battle and there were too many members for Kulghar to drag through the shadow realm with him.
He turned to the others as he ran and shouted,
"Keep up. No one of us can take this alone.."
Within seconds he was back into the fray. He focused on the weak points using his sword in his right hand, slashing and stabbing were he could, and his pistol in his left. Every now and again he would take pot shots at the hulking elemental but it seemed that the pistol rounds were barely scratching the surface. 'How can we take this down, we need to somehow weaken it..' He thought to himself. He looked around and found that there was a pause in the fighting around him so, using this precious time wisely, he checked his pack for any equipment he could use. He sifted through the vials of poison he could apply to his weapon but decided it wasn't worth wasting on a creature that he was unsure whether it would affect it or not. After much thought and searching he deemed that he had nothing of use to help with the elemental right now and decided to focus on clearing some of the weaker minions.

Kulghar turned and shouted back at the group,
"Commander, can you use your necrotic powers to form up a minion we can use?" He rolled out of the way of a fireball that the elemental had fired towards him, slashed two firery minions with his sword taking them both down in one strike and shot a third in the space along the neckline were their armour was weaker.
"Triage, are you able to distract the elemental? I know you are capable of creating an exact duplicate of yourself. If we confuse it and make it think that we are closer than we actually are it will draw its attention from the battle and let us push a little further! It could make all the difference right now!" He rolled out of the way of another fireball, this time barely making it. He brushed down the singed fur on his left shoulder and winced as his paw touched the burnt flesh. He looked up at the vortex that the norn elementalist had transformed into and shouted,
"Astrid, we need you to weaken it. Can you douse it's armour? If so I might be able to get close enough to do some damage..." With that a fireball finally hit home. Kulghar was sent spiraling into the air semi conscious and burning...

The vortex shifted, shuddering, as the Norn fought to rapidly change form. Gritting her teeth it took several minutes to reform and drop down slightly crouched, arms outstretched. Fingers spread, hands flattened as if pushing against an invisible wall, she braced and heaved until a blast of water shot forward spraying a jet of water as if from a high pressure hose hitting the elemental yards in front of her.

The air hissed and shot with steamy vapors, temporarily obstructing sight as the Norn's eyes swiveled trying to find her companions. She thought she saw a kaleidoscope of purple form that might or might not be Triage working her illusions. Genivee was upright muttering her dark mysterious words. Of the Charr she could see nothing through the white clouded steam though she could smell the stench of burnt hair.

"Kulghar!", she cried, trying to pinpoint his location better, hoping that some of the healing properties of water were reaching the area in which he had fallen. "Kulghar, where are you?!"

Her eyes shifted forward to the enraged bellowing elementalist who was completing his cast....retribution.

" OH DAMN!" Astrid dove, hoping she hadn't delayed the movemment until it was too late.

Genivee followed her comrades into the battle. Kulghar was screaming out to her to summon a minion, of course she would, she planned what she would do all along. Genivee looked down at her hands, focusing on a powerful spell.

In a swirl of dark energy a huge Flesh Golem appeared from the ground in front her Genivee. As soon as it appeared, without a word from Genivee's mouth, it charged forward towards the Elementalist. Its claws making huge gashes in the armor of the foe, making it bleed. Genivee saw this moment as an advantage, she conjured up more Dark water. Soaking the elementalist in this liquid caused its poisoness quality's to sink into the open wounds of the monster.

Genivee was pleased with her work and as soon as she was done conjuring up the Dark liquid she was beginning her next move. Darkness increased around her as she pulled up her cloak, it seemed she was transforming into another form.

The thick crystals that surrounded her vision were obscuring all the figures approaching her. "Are these monsters trying to attack me?" she panicked and tried to send more fire balls towards the shadows, surprisingly she was able to control where the direction of the fireballs went. One of them came into contact with one of the shadow figures and immediately stopped moving. Thinking it was defeated she promptly moved onto her next focus.

She thought to herself, "Maybe I'm not that helpless in here after all." She put all of her energies into redirecting where the next attack went, but they barely graze the her target. "Let's see if I can cast something else," she said to herself as she gathered more energy for the next attack. A pool of molten lava appears behind her next target. "Perfect!" she exclaimed excitedly to herself.

She kept redirecting her fireball attacks towards that shadow to lead it into the pool, but before she was able to finish--one of the larger shadows was already at her front, striking her relentlessly, but this time she was able to see the details of what it looked like. A big hulking monster that had rotten flesh for skin. "What an abomination!" It was tearing at her with unrelenting ferocity not allowing her to react.

Suddenly she felt a wave of sickness wash over her. It seemed like a viscous liquid was seeping into the cracks of the armor the beast made. She needed some room to think, but since she couldn't physically move or much less catch her breath, she wondered if this would be the end of her.

"No. I will not give in so easily," she affirmed and summoned up all her will to get the creature prison she was in to summon the winds. A fierce gust knocks the beast in front of her back behind the other shadows. This gave her some breathing room, but it was still hard to find her breath in this constricting cage and the poisonous ooze flowing around her. If she could just summon the rains she might be able to wash off the poisons, but that would leave her open to other attacks. In one swift thought she made the creature prison summon the frost from the underworld to slow the shadow's approach.

((I'm repeating what was added to the RP just so you can see what it looks like through her eyes for now. Also all dialog is in her head for now.))

The sickness was starting to get overwhelming and she couldn't stand it anymore and took the risk. Hopefully the shadows would be slowed down while she cleansed the poisons. After a few moments of thought, the prison started to summon the clouds above her. Slowly the rain started to fall and she immediately felt better.

"Now for my next trick," she smirked. This would take a few seconds and leave her pretty vulnerable, but she felt like this creature she was in, was strong enough to wield what she was going to summon next. After making the creature come to a complete stop she started the summon. The creature suddenly raises the staff and pins it into the ground and a fiery lightning streaks through the sky. Two hulking greatswords drop down and pierce the ground shaking the earth around them and causes cracks and steam to rise.

She wills the creature to pick up both of the swords and wield both of them, without the constructed crystal creature prison she would have been barely able to lift one of them. "Not bad, for someone who can't move," she smiled to herself. She cleared her mind and focused on the task at hand, the creature shifted into a battle stance gripping the two greatswords with absolutely no effort, preparing for the next attack.
