Mainly posted so that you can SEE the pets.

Below are all the Ranger Pets and their special moves:

BEAR

Arctodus :: Rending Maul :: Make your foe bleed with a fierce mauling.

Black Bear :: Enfeebling Roar :: Roar fiercely, weakening nearby enemies.

Brown Bear :: Shake It Off :: Remove a condition from yourself and all nearby allies.

Murellow :: Poison Cloud :: Emit a noxious cloud that poisons and damages .enemies.

Polar Bear :: Icy Roar :: Roar fiercely, chilling nearby foes.

BIRD

Eagle :: Lacerating Slash :: Slash your foes and cause them to bleed.

Hawk :: Lacerating Slash :: Slash your foes and cause them to bleed.

Owl :: Chilling Slash :: Slash your foes and chill them.

Raven :: Blinding Slash :: Blind your foes with a slash.

BOAR

Whiptail Devourer :: Poison Barbs :: Spray poisonous barbs in an arc in front of you, damaging and poisoning foes.

DRAKE

Ice Drake :: Frost Breath :: Breathe a conse of frost, damaging and chilling foes.

Marsh Drake :: Insect Swarm :: Exhale a swarm of insects that hits multiple enemies.

River Drake :: Lightning Breath :: Breathe bolts of lighting that bounce to nearby foes.

Salamander Drake :: Fire Breath :: Breathe a cone of fire that burns foes.

FELINE

Jaguar :: Stalk :: Gain stealth.

Jungle Stalker :: Mighty Roar :: Give extreme might to nearby allies.

Lynx :: Rending Pounce :: Leap at a target foe, causing them to bleed.

Snow Leopard :: Icy Pounce :: Leap at your foe, chilling them.

MOA

Black Moa :: Dazing Screech :: Create a cone of sound, dazing foes.

Blue Moa :: Protecting Screech :: Screech to grant protection to nearby allies.

Flamingo :: Dazing Screech :: Create a cone of sound, dazing foes.

Red Moa :: Furious Screech :: Screech angrily to grant fury to nearby allies.

SPIDER

Black Widow Spider :: Paralyzing Venom :: Your next attack immobilized your foe.

AQUATIC

Armor Fish :: Stunning Rush :: Rush at your foe and stun them.

Blue Jellyfish :: Chilling Whirl :: Whirl your tentacles, chilling the foes you strike.

Rainbow Jellyfish :: Chilling Whirl :: Whirl your tentacles, chilling the foes you strike.

Red Jellyfish :: Immobilizing Whirl :: Whirl your tentacles, immobilizing the foes you strike.

Shark :: Feeding Frenzy :: Enter a frenzy. Attack faster and bleed on each hit.
 
that video is funny :p sooo excited about pets!! pets,pets,pets! I want them all!! I like how the boar digs for improvised weapon
 
One thing I would like to see is more than 1 pet that can remove conditions. Right now the bear is the only type that can and the brown bear is the only one who will do it on command. And I plan on running jungle stalker for my dps/close combat, and cave spider for my ranged.

Edit: just found out that Healing Spring will remove conditions if you stay in range.
 
That guy cracks me up. I watched a couple of his other videos, had me laughing my ass off from 1:05-2:00ish. Unrelated to pets, sorta, but still related to Ranger:

shark is the best glass cannon with all its bleeds, armorfish is the best tanky one. there is a red jellyfish in the water area in ratta sum, and blue jellyfish is in the water in lions arch.
 
I like the blue jellyfish (named Squishy of course). It's "whirl" attack chills and that can be useful since a lot of water creatures seem to be able to match your speed easily which can be a problem in the event you need to, uh, strategically withdraw from the area. :) Red has an immobilize instead of chill. I prefer the chill especially in sPvP since the cooldown increase of chill is pretty huge, and it also hits pretty hard. I use a shark as my alternate.

I accidentally tamed a raven the other day. I just clicked on it and I got a new pet! I'd been wondering how to tame them, but I guess it's just that easy.

I think I like the WoW system of charming them better, and it also allowed you to tame just about ANY beast, including unique ones. The GW2 system of quick swapping on while in the field is amazing tho. Just wish for a bit more variety, even if it it's just cosmetic.
