Well, PvE was always a guilty pleasure to me. I love to explore every nook and cranny, interact with every NPC, climb every mountain and swim to the bottom of every ocean (assuming the specific game in question allows you to do that without drowning, which would be a bummer). I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) which means that don't like and intend to leave one quest uncompleted. Even if the sole objective is to laugh at some corny joke than some barman throws at me.
Role-playing? I can't say that I've tried it before. But I'm a very outwards person with a great imaginative mind (so I'm told), so I think I would fit pretty well =P That, and Jennifer seems quite nice. The bride look suits her! [Podcast #3.5].
Now, about PvP. First of all, this is the recommended background music for this next reading part. I utterly recommend it, so that it will give more life and emotion to this sad tale.
I was never good at PvP! Some people are cut from different kinds of wood you know? All my life, since I was a little Lvl1, the other LvL1s pointed and laughed at me. But I had hope! I knew that someday, behind this ugly n00b, a great Lvl80 Elite would rise! Boy was I wrong... I had no Honor. Not even the Daily Quest Givers would accept my words so that I could get any gold to eat. I could not count of the glory of the battles to sustain me. But not everything is lost... A new adventure arises in the horizon. Tales of a new world, this so called Tyria, shed new light to my soul. I knew, that with enough practice, I would overcome the shadows of my past and expel my insecurities from my heart. I know, that the nation with well my in World vs World Combat. And, that with some guidance, even I would overcome my enemies in Mortal Komb... Wait... Wrong game... You got the point!
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
First ever MMO I played was WoW. I played it for 2 years and then I grew tired of it. Then I had a phase where I experienced many MMO's. Aion (around 1 month), Perfect World (1 day
), Allods (2 days), Forsaken World (2 weeks), Atlantica Online (a day and a half), S4 League (2 months + not exactly an RPG but whatevs, it's a really cool game), Rusty Hearts (1 week and a half), and some more I can't quite remember. Then, after all these failed experiences, I kinda felt that I had to go back to WoW. I did, and played it for 2 more years.
About the 1st Guild Wars, I've tried it, not the full version tho, and I kinda liked it. But for some reason it didn't call out to me. I blame that for the fact that I never played the full game... But it's not the case for Guild Wars 2. Nah man, the lore (which I'm learning daily), the visual style, the gameplay, DAT DYNAMIC EVENT {http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/0bkj3km5vc03l/610x.jpg}, everything! I'm completely psyched! And I'm afraid to throw away the key of my room 'cuz of it. xD
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was part of some guilds back in WoW, in which I played around with the guildies, but never actually did the serious stuff with them, like raids or Lich King rapings. I was an Officer (Public Relations Division) when my friend created his own guild. I was rather strict with what kind of people would join the guild. Because, you know how it is. It only takes one wrong person in a group to ruin everyone's fun. And I like to keep it friendly and appealing to everyone. Then finally there was a time when I created my own guild, but I couldn't chose a worst time for it, because it was the precise week that my laptop decided to die on me. So I was away for sometime and when I came back, only my friend were still on the guild, so yeah... My own laptop pwned me T.T
How did you hear about the Guild?
I'm absorbing every video of Guild Wars 2 that's out there on Youtube. And I kinda stumbled upon you 50 Charr's video (Wonder how many people came to you through the same video huh? You guys gotta admit it... It was freaking hilarious!) I'm like: "Dude, I gotta find who these guys are!" Then I checked your channel and saw that you do regular Podcasts. I was coloured intrigued. So then I watched Podcast #3.5 and knowing that you guys were "recruiting" per say, I knew I had to try myself. I'm fully aware of the "until game is release" cap and the Week Trial, and gladly will accept every rule and regulation that might get me into joining you guys. Except kinky and naughty stuff! Buy me dinner first ;D haha
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
First of all, I would like to say that I've never used Mumble, but I'm always open on trying new things. So, I'm completely cool with that. My headset pretty much works, but I'm planning on buying a new one anyway, so...
Ok, now that that is out of the way, what could I say about my contributions... Well, for once I'm crazy, so I could say that I think that I would be fun to hang around in game. When I build a certain trust with someone I can be very chatty. I like to help those that can't help themselves. Even if I will be in my own learning curve with Guild Wars 2, there's no problem in people helping each other out. And if something is in my knowledge, I will most gladly help. The bill is sent in the end of the month. Taxes free even! Oh, and one teeny tiny peculiar thing. I'm Portuguese. And yet, even if my English is quite fluent in writing, it might come a little bit worked up with a taste of roflcopters through vocal communication. Accents are a b*tch.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
