MLP Convention

I don't get the fascination with my little pony. Meh, whatever makes you happy and doesn't hurt others is fine with me.

Yeah, same. I don't really get it, I guess. I watched a few episodes on Netflix a while back to see what all the fuss was about. I thought the animation style was kinda cool, but the show had no hook on me at all. But hey, I used to lug my computer around the state of FL for massive LAN parties and totally nerd out, so... to each their own.

It looks like they where having fun so I guess that's all that matters. :alien7:

I do like our MLP smilies though...

I tried to watch it. It just didn't do it for me. And Caroline was done with it even faster than I was... Oh well. Adventure Time isn't quite for me either. Neither is Regular Show. Or any other "cartoon" that's come out in the last decade.

Well I haven't watched MLP beyond just a bit of Brony research with my buddy. Regular show is ok, I'm not a huge fan of it but I've watched a few episodes. Nothing terribly great there in my opinion, kind of dry at times, with some overt humor for the kiddies.

Adventure time, however, is one of my favorite shows evah. Some of the episodes are honestly mind blowing. Episodes about the ice king's origin are really amazing, as well as his involvement with Marcelene. The whole show is about a radiation altered world post-nuclear holocaust, so that alone sold me haha. If you read the wiki you will see just how involved the story is.
 
I've tried to get into it, it just seems a bit over the top. Too EXTREME IN YOUR FACE sometimes.

Yeah, you have to be a bit patient with it at times if that isn't your style haha. I like the way they do the 'Extreme in your face' stuff though, it's got it's own character. I'm not trying to sell you on it, just letting you know what I like about the show haha

Hmm, first attempt at derailment failed. Must post in all caps, large font, and purple . That should get the train off the tracks.
