Is there a doctor in the room?

All fun with the picture above, but I really feel like I should see a doctor atm..
Two days ago my tooth started to hurt and I've been having a toothache since. Somewhat about a week ago I catched a cold, but it's really bad now. My nose might be infected, one of my nostrils. It is swollen and hurts like hell. Because of the cold my throat also hurts. The tooth ache makes it hard to eat, swallowing hurts because of the throat. And on top of that I have a headache. It's just overall fucked upness. I wonder how it comes that all this stuff happens at the same time? Maybe someone has got a American household tip, that we Dutch people don't know of, on how to treat these malaises ( not sure if that's an English word, but don't be a bitch. I'm sick. )

I'm no doctor, but that sounds pretty serious. One of those symptoms by it's self wouldn't cause to much concern personally. It's possible that it's a coincidence, but more than likely they are related from something more serious, like an infection that's weakening your immune system or something else like that. I wouldn't wait too long to see someone about that.

Yes, infections like this aren't the sort of things that go away on their own. Prescription antibiotics. I had to wait all weekend to see a doctor about a staph abscess in my lip four years ago, and now I have a permanent lump of scar tissue in there.

(And malaise does show up in English, but it's one of them fancy SAT words.)

Sinus troubles can cause your teeth to hurt (and head), but if your toothache is that bad, I'm not sure if that would apply. I hear saline is good for clearing out your sinuses, just don't ask me how to do it. For sore throats, hot tea with lemon, ginger and honey is really nice. This might be handy: http://castlesandcooks.com/2010/10/19/gollums-recipe-gollum-juice/ Zinc is supposed to speed up recovery from colds if you can't get a steroid shot from your doctor.

I'm glad you're seeing your doctor! Get well soon! <3

There's no shame in going to a doctor whenever you feel ill. If a particular malady (that's the term I'd use, malaise is the French version) is somehow different to a common cold or minor food poisoning, it's well worth a trip. Even if it's nothing we can all benefit from some impartial medical advice from time to time.

You do need antibiotics like yesterday. I have had 2 infections in 2 separate teeth. It will only get worse and it has the chance to infect your blood which can kill you. Both times they gave me amoxocillin, which killed the infection in a day or so and kept it away till I could have a dentist deal with it.

Unfortunately a tooth infection usually means root canal or pulling the tooth. sorry.

Hy everyone, I went to the doctor on your advise. She told me that it was coincidential, and I shouldnt worry. I have antibiotics for my nose. Have an infection there. Going to the dentist for my tooth tomorrow, and drinking tea with honey ginger and lemon like Zevrix told me to :)
