GW2 Engineer: The class for those of you that suck at jump puzzles!

Whether you prefer rifles or pistols, keep a rifle with jump shot handy when you're doing jump puzzles. The Engi can use jump shot to guarantee a successful vertical jump. Unlike other skills that move you around, you choose the exact point of exit from the jump. I've managed to cut out over a third of the jumps in the WvW jump challenges (though I had to know where I was going first!)

Basically platforming where things could knock you off of a platform and it requires specific timing.

I used to play maplestory and they have great examples of Jump Quests. Here is one:

Exactly what they sound like - physical puzzles where you have to jump around an environment with ledges or other hazards to get to a shiny reward at the very end. They can often be frustrating, but they're a worthwhile addition to the game. They're completely optional and you have to find em on your own - they aren't advertised anywhere.

You generally get an achievement for reaching the reward at the end too.

And the first one I ever found was the most awesome experience I had in BWE1. Its sooo nice!

When I played Thief during the third Beta weekend, I was somewhat disappointed when I found that shadow stepping worked like a dash instead of a teleport, and as such I couldn't use my shortbow for the jumping puzzles (granted, if shadow stepping did work like a teleport it would be a bit overpowered, but that's another topic). However, that's just another reason I'll be rolling an Engineer come release.

Good for getting some of the tougher vistas too. Sounds silly but this is one of the nicest perks of being an engineer.

I've recently developed a love for the Mesmer's jumping puzzle abilities too. In a word, Portal. It's the sociable way to do jumping puzzles and you can 'quicksave' before attempting a hard jump.

You're all a bunch of cheating bitches that should receive permanent bans for being such! That is all. *ponysmile:
