City of Steam anyone?

City of steam just started an Open Beta today (its a web-based steampunk MMO), I'm about to check it out - if others are as well give me a shout

Hmm... I gave it a shot. I'd rather play TL2 or D3. I can't seem to get the controls to work the way I wanted them to. It's a nice way to introduce someone into the dungeon crawler genre though, but if you have access to better ones it's not really worth it.

Free and steam punk. I'm sold. Controls easy peasy. Just set it to camera A.

I will say this though, being in browser with no permanent downloads made this awesome in my eyes. The gameplay so far, not so much haha.

I just need a dodge or block these days for attacks or feel stupid when it trains onto me no matter what.

Continued my journey today. The game music is really good. The weapon system seems strange. You have a shield, a 2 hander and 2 1 handers. You can use a two hander, a 1 hand and shield, or two 1 handers. AS of right now at level 6 no difference.

The weird part is they all sit on your body at once, so you have a mash of weapons all over your body.

Teh controls are VERY sensitive so you end up panning too much a lot, but easy to get used to.

I think the only thing really intriguing by this game is the fact that it is all browser, no install. Crazy.

All instanced battles etc, and limited per day what you can do like a facebook game energy system.

Not bad for free though, story is kinda fun, environment is cool. Hack em slash em game, diablo style as far as I can see. There is supposed to be a healer but it isn't in game yet.

According to the designers it is fun to do with friends but was built to be able to run RPG mode all the way through alone.

QFT - Like the music, crazy that it's in a browser. Game itself isnt anything special but again, just something cool people can do in a browser these days (apparently)
