A solid mix of PvP as well as PvE. Focusing on PvE initially to get a good feel of the game and then PvP tossed in depending how many guildies are also participating in it. So much more fun with your friends, even if you're getting your asses handed to you.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I've been playing MMO's since I've been on the computer really.
Ultima Online: Not too long
EverQuest: Also not too long but I did enjoy how harsh it was
Tons of misc betas/F2P games
WoW: About a few years total playing this. I've been in hardcore guilds that were top on the server for both sides. I've also been in smaller more intimate guilds that didn't have such a hardcore focus (it can become very overwhelming when you're that dedicated the entire time you're playing WoW)
Aion: Between my WoW breaks, was also in a hardcore guild that had total server domination on all the world bosses. About a year or so total here, I was gone just before the first expansion hit.
SWToR: Few months of this..kinda hit cap..wasn't having fun progressing or with the PvP. Dropped it and went back to WoW.
League of Legends: On and off but I've played quite a bit of it. I got like 500+ wins on my account or something (that's not bragging btw, just to give an idea of how much I've played)
I'm all for a solid FPS. I just got done watching your guild info video and I'm not downloading BLR.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I've been in a guild for every MMO I've played really. It's part of the experience of playing an MMO. I've done a bit of everything here and there besides actually leading a guild. There's no fun in that so I have a lot of respect for the people who sign up for that responsibility. Vent (or something similar) has been a must for me in any guild I join, it just brings people together as well as keeping things organized depending what you're doing. A lot of my time in WoW has been running around in circles in Orgrimmar while talking to my guild in vent.
How did you hear about the Guild?
I didn't keep up with GW2. There were people in my guild in Aion that came from GW1 and were all super hyped waiting for GW2 but I never put much in it. Especially after the recent fails of SWToR and TERA. There hasn't been much for options in looking for a new MMO so I started to check out GW2 and came across your streams.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I'm the dumbass that always gets stuck running alts through older dungeons or through elite quests or whatever else there is lol. So I definitely bring help. I have a bit of a sarcastic dry sense of humor that when people get, usually keeps vent laughing. I also do rage from time to time, sometimes over dumb shit, and I do realize that even in the moment lol but I'd be there for you guys to laugh at so that's entertainment in a way, right? I'm also the first person to stand up for someone else being treated like shit or being cheated out of something. Even if it's someone I don't personally care much for myself, other guild members are not there for others to shit on.
My guild's first time into serpentshrine cavern I kinda wandered off on my own after clearing some trash. No one had any idea what I was doing but I heard about the lurker and being able to fish him up so of course that's where I had to go before we did anything. I fished him up with the thought of him melee'ing me to death and then resetting or whatever.. Turns out the asshat shoots balls of water at people across the entire zone until everyone is dead. Half of my guild couldn't stop laughing and the other half wanted to kill me.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
Yeah, I mean something social could come up here and there, like let's say a friend creates a guild and I feel sort of pressured to join it. Really though I'm loyal to whatever guild I'm in, even if things aren't going so right in it or if I disagree with someone.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Not really sure what to put in here other than I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and having some fun. It's a much needed change after every other MMO I've played has pretty much programmed me to be a hardcore player and now I can finally breathe and just enjoy ALL content at whatever pace I want.
