Do you have any friends in the guild? If so, who?
No
Main Character Name
Sire Hugsalot
Race
Asura
Profession(Class)
Necromancer
What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I tend to play a lot of PVE content but I am starting to dabble in both sPvP and WvW. I would love to get into a premade for sPvP.
I am also looking a good community with in a guild. One of the biggest issues with GW2 is the lack of socializing. It sometimes feels like a single Player game with people crossing paths. Unfortunately my last guild had a couple of my RL friends in it and that was the only social experience I would get. They have since stopped playing.
From everything I have seen on the forums and the pod casts I would love to be a part of the community here. Not only on the forums but in game too.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
My first taste of online gaming was Diablo 2. From there it was a down word spiral into years of MMOs. I played EQ for a year or so. Once FFXI came out I played that for about 7 years. I also played WOW from vanilla til BC then I picked it up again for MoP. For a while I played DCUO on the PS# up until about 3 months before GW2 launched. The only MMO of recent that has kept my attention is GW@ though.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
Iv'e been in several guilds in the past decade of MMOs. Ive done everything from normal member to running guilds. In FFXI I ran end game events for several years with my Linkshell (FFXI term for guild).
How did you hear about the Guild?
I stumbled upon the pod casts on youtube and enjoyed them so I came to the website to register immediately. I've already watched all the podcasts and subscribe to them on youtube as well.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I wouldn't exactly say I'm chatty. I can hold up my part of the conversation. I like to speak my mind and some people say I don't have a filter. It hasnt gotten me in trouble yet, it just adds humor to the conversation. I won't hesitate to jump in mumble/ts/vent.
I'm pretty skilled in the game PVE side. Like I mentioned I only just started dabbling in the PvP game but I would love to do PvP with people instead of by myself. With most MMOs I like to do theory crafting and have done a lot of it for my necro in GW2. I also tend to retain information about how to either do certain things or get to certain area. This could be helpful for people that may need to find a secret route to some of the trickier Vistas.
Also I am getting really big into achievement hunting in GW2 and pretty much anything I do in the game will work towards some sort of achievement.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
Definitely. I have never been a multiple guild type of person.
How much time do you spend a week on Guild Wars 2 or other games?
I play GW2 for at least 2-3 hours a night on weekdays and pretty much all weekend right now.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I live with my fiance, my pit bull/lab mix, and her cat(I can do with out the cat.) in a small town in Pennsylvania. I work in a call center that services student loans for the Department of Education and I love my job. They are really strict about talking about the job outside of the building so you will never here me complain about my job.
I have been a gamer since I got my original SNES when I was about 4. I also collect older games. Right now I have roughly around 200+ NES games and about 150+ SNES games. I really enjoy collecting those games because its what I grew up with and the nostalgia is great. I also have all the newer consoles but nothing beats the old school games. The music, the graphics, the stories and most of all games back then were actually challenging.
One of other big passions is music. Ive been playing guitar/bass for about 18 years. I also dabbled in the banjo and harmonica. I used to do vocals for a hardcore band a couple years ago called for Blood and Glory. We mostly played in my local area and a couple other places in PA.
Also, during the weekdays, I will be playing generally late night. I don't get out of work til at least 9p.m. eastern time.
Have you finished all of the prerequisite requirements?
Yes (I read and replied to the rules, I have a minimum of 5 posts, I made sure those posts weren't just bullshit)
